The beautiful hillside village of Lindos is around two miles away and well worth a visit. Just above the village is the Lindos acropolis, which includes many Ancient Greek monuments. For an extra special experience, travel to Lindos by a glass-bottom boat.
Pefkos has a nice variety of restaurants and cafes that offer a range of local and international cuisine. Most restaurants are family friendly and will have many European styles of food. Seafood dominates the local menus and no holiday in Pefkos would be complete without sampling some local fish dishes.
Pefkos is a family orientated village and this is reflected in a lack of any real nightlife except for restaurants and in-house hotel entertainment. Lindos has some upmarket restaurants and a couple of nightclubs and is the place to go for livelier nightlife.
A tour of Pefkos can be done entirely on foot. A day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Rhodes Town is highly recommended for its historical buildings and unique atmosphere. Any tour of the coastline on foot, by taxi or boat is well worth it.
