Situated in the south east of the popular Greek island of Kefalonia, the Asteris Hotel is set in beautifully landscaped gardens offer a peaceful and relaxing stay that is ideal for couples and families. The hotel features an elevated location allowing for wonderful views of the crystal clear blue sea and coved coastline from the outdoor pool and terrace or from your room. The accommodation at the hotel is modern and affordable, comprised of a number of spacious one bedroom apartments and studios with self-catering facilities and the hotel offers many opportunities to unwind and relax such as in its lovely L-shaped outdoor pool and there is a games room with billiards and a big screen TV providing the perfect place for some chilled out entertainment. Children won’t be bored either as they can splash about in the children’s pool or have fun in the playground area

The town of Skala, where the hotel is located is a typical Greek traditional village that has since developed into a more lively resort from popular tourism. The town’s main attraction is its fine stretch of shingle and sand beach that gently shelves into the sea that offers a quiet family friendly place to enjoy the sun. The nearby Potamaki beach is a unique sight for being a haven for the rare loggerhead turtles, due to which has been declared a conservation area. However special night-time ‘turtle watches’ are often organised for those who wish to view the turtles without spoiling their habitat. The town itself consists of a few shops and charming selection of restaurants and tavernas that offer local specialities and fresh sea food choices; or if you wish to explore outside of the town then there are a few historic sites of Roman ruins well worth a visit such as a 7th century BC Temple of Apollo just a mile away.

The Asteris Hotel is the right choice for couples and families looking for modern accommodation and a relaxed holiday close to the beaches and not too far away from the more lively resorts in the area.

The hotel features a large outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a terrace with loungers and parasols and there is also a smaller pool for children next to it.

The newly built complex is comprised of 14 one bedroom and 12 two bedroom apartments featuring typical Mediterranean décor and space for up to 5 people. All of the apartments come with a well-equipped kitchenette, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, safety deposit box and a private bathroom with WC and shower.

In addition to the self-catering facilities at the hotel there is also a great restaurant that serves a lovely selection of traditional Greek dishes for dinner along with a continental breakfast in the mornings.
